How did you get involved with Central Coast Basketball?
I became involved with Central Coast Basketball when my 3 children played local domestic and junior representative basketball between ages 8-14, after this time they went to boarding school in Sydney so were unable to continue playing. We have a close relationship with Ian Robilliard and his family as our children played together and we remain good friends with many basketball parents.
What year did you join the Board?
I was introduced to the Board by Ian Robilliard and Kieren Moore in 2018, they both felt my background in business would benefit the Board and Management Team progress to the next level.
What are your key responsibilities on the Board?
My main responsibilities are to work with the General Manager and Management Team on generating more sponsorship and government grants for the organisation. These extra funds with help reduce other expenses the business currently has and will help promote basketball across the Central Coast and NSW. We also intend for this additional funding to bring more players to the senior teams and assist with staff training and purchasing new equipment.
What are you most looking forward to for the future of Central Coast Basketball?
I’m motivated by seeing the future Stadium for Central Coast Basketball and having a winning culture as an organisation from the Board right down to the Representative Teams and Players.
This will ensure we can grow sponsorships and given more government grants to support our vision.
My background was retail and wholesale management for 20 years before starting my own business coaching / training organisation in 2001 to help small to medium business owners. My passion is training people from being good technicians into being great managers and leaders of companies.
I have worked with over 300 business owners and coached over 500 coaches on improving their skills, adjusting their attitude and changed their behaviour that gets them better results in business. My key role is to help build business plans, create bigger vision, train many hundreds of team members by keeping them accountable to the key goals set and strategies for the business.
With the right attitude and mindset we can achieve almost anything!!
