Proudly sponsored by Bendigo Bank, Breakers Indoor Sports Stadium will be hosting two different skills camps with a total of 7 days of camps during the upcoming School Holidays, catering for children aged between 7-17 years of age.

All sessions are open to all players regardless of ages or ability as players will be separated into smaller groups on the day to ensure they are matched with players of a similar level.


5 Days of Scoring Skill Sessions

What:    Each day will feature new aspects of scoring. Sessions will be led by Rebels and Crusaders Coaches with a focus on a wide array of scoring skills.

Who:    This 5 day camp series is aimed at players ranging from beginner to elite. Camp attendees will be split into their appropriate groups.

How:     The camp structure will be split between teaching and then game playing. Games will be short format with non-playing attendees filling other duties so they can learn about all aspects of the game.

Dates:   Monday 28th September, Tuesday 29th September, Wednesday 30th September, Thursday 1st October, Friday 2nd October

Times:         

  • 7-11 year olds:  8:30am-12pm (check in from 8am)
  • 12-17 year olds: 1pm-4:30pm (check in from 12:30pm)

Q:Does my child need to attend all 5 days?

A:It is not compulsory, but we do recommend this as each day will feature different skills

Q:Does my child have to have previous basketball experience

A:Not at all! We cater to beginners all the way to elite. Our coaches split the players into groups based on age, skill level and experience.

Q:Why are these camps only half days?

A:We are focused on the development of our attendees, and have found that players keep their focus during shorter, more intense sessions.

2 intense days of defensive skills training

Players who are serious about taking the leap to being a great defender

 

Times:         

  • 7-11 year olds:  8:30am-12pm (check in from 8am)
  • 12-17 year olds: 1pm-4:30pm (check in from 12:30pm)

 Camp Details:

Times:  Participants can be dropped to the stadium 30 minutes prior to session start time and must be picked up at the conclusion time.
Wear:  Shorts, t-shirt/singlet, runners
Bring: A basketball, a water bottle and morning / afternoon tea. Please not no catering is included in the participant cost. Our canteen remains closed however vending machines are available.
